Tallassee is a city located in Elmore County, Alabama, and Tallapoosa County, in the central part of the state. The County Seat of Elmore County is Wetumpka. Dadeville is the County Seat of Tallapoosa County. Tallassee has a population of 4,819 people. John Hammock is the mayor, and the City Hall is located on Freeman Avenue.
