The Birmingham City Jail is located on 6th Avenue, and the Chief Jail Administrator is Kevin L. Davis. Visitation for pre-trial detainees is on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 8 am to 2 pm and 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm, and Fridays from 8 am to 2 pm and 3:30 pm to 8 pm. For inmates serving time, visitation varies by last name. For female detainees, visitation is on Sundays from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm.
