The County Seat of Dale County is Ozark, the County Seat of Henry County is Abbeville, and the County Seat of Houston County is Dothan. The Houston County Jail is located on East Main Street in Dothan, and is headed by Captain Keith Reed. On any given day, there are nearly 300 inmates at the jail. Face-to-face visitation with inmates is allowed, as are video and telephone visits. There is a fee for video visits. Inmates who want to receive visitors must complete a visitors list, which can only be updated twice a year. Inmates are allowed one 30 minute visit per designated weekend, with a maximum of 2 visitors per visit. Visitation days and times are determined by the sex and location of the inmate.
