The Chilton County Jail houses most of the area inmates, and generally houses about 200 inmates daily. The commander of the jail is Captain Trae Barfield, and there are 25 corrections officers at the jail. Inmates are allowed to have one 30-minute visit each week. Appointments for visitation can be made by calling 205-755-1053 between 3pm and 7pm the day before the visit. Visitation is from 1pm to 3pm Monday-Friday.
