The Corrections Division of the sheriff’s office is supervised by Captain M.V. Green, and employs 14 corrections officers. The John Hulett Detention Facility is located on Alabama State Highway 21 and can hold approximately 120 inmates. Visitation is only on Thursday and Sunday, and each inmate is allowed up to one hour of visits, with up to three 20-minute visits. Visitation is from 9:30 am to 11 am for inmates whose last names start with A-M, 1 pm to 3 pm for inmates whose last names start with N-Z, and 3 pm to 3:30 pm for all female inmates. A visitors must be listed on the inmate’s approved visitors list.
