The Walker County Jail is also on the premises of the Walker County Sheriff’s Office, in Jasper, and it can house 250 inmates. The Jail Administrator is Trent McCluskey. Visits at the jail can be done through video, Monday-Friday 8 am to 8 pm, with the exception of 10:30 am to 12 pm and 3:30 pm to 5 pm. The visitation schedule is on Tuesday from 5 pm to 8 pm for Dorm D, and Monday from 5 pm to 8 pm for booking/RX. Visits for Dorm D and booking/RX must be scheduled in advance.
