The head of the JCSO is Sheriff Chuck Phillips. The department is comprised of several divisions including Administration, Investigations, Narcotics, and Patrol. The Administration Division is responsible for managing all financial records, the sale of pistol permits, entering warrants and civil processes, ad managing employee time records. The Investigations Division is responsible for all felony cases and deaths that occur in the county.
