Mobile County can be found in the southwestern corner of Alabama. It was named after a village of Chief Tuskaloosa, Maubila. The county seat is Mobile which is also the largest city in the area. Mobile County Jail Information

The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Mobile County Metro Jail. This facility holds an average of 1,500 inmates per day. It also features a 325-bed minimum security barracks that houses prisoners who are put to work in order to earn their keep.
