Inmates at the county jail are allowed visitation. Each inmate is given two free 30-minute visits each week. Additional visits cost $7.50 each. Visitation is conducted from Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for providing law enforcement services to the citizens of the county through its various divisions and units. The Patrol Division is comprised of 10 full-time deputies, 1 part time process server, 1 transport officer, and 1 school resource officer. They are responsible for handling calls for service, transporting inmates, making arrests, and serving warrants. The Investigations Division is responsible for conducting follow-up investigations on all cases reported by the Patrol Division. The FCSO also provides courtroom security and handles narcotics investigations. The FCSO is headed by Sheriff Shannon Oliver.
