The Coosa County Sheriff’s Office is located on School Street in Rockford. Divisions within the police department include operations, cold cases, missing persons, sex offenders, courthouse security, and the jail.

The Coosa County Jail is also located on School Street in Rockford, and the jail administrator is Captain Michael Mull. There are a total of 11 corrections officers, including the administration. At any given time, there are over 30 inmates. Inmates may not receive visitors until they’ve been incarcerated for a minimum of 7 days, and visits are limited to two visitors per week for 15 minutes. Visitors must be placed on the approved list for inmates prior to the visit.
