The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office handles more of the workload in the Reform area and is located in Carrollton, AL. David Abston is the Sheriff, and he has been serving as Sheriff since 1987. The Pickens County Jail is located on the property of the Sheriff’s Office, and the Jail Administrator is Denise Hasty. There are currently more than 100 inmates at the jail. Visitation is allowed Monday-Friday from 9-11 am and 1-3 pm, except for holidays and court days, with each inmate being allowed two 30-minute visits per month with pre-approved visitors.
