The Houston County Jail is located on East Main Street in Dothan, and is headed by Captain Keith Reed. On any given day, there are nearly 300 inmates at the jail. Face-to-face visitation with inmates is allowed, as are video and telephone visits. There is a fee for video visits. Inmates who want to receive visitors must complete a visitors list, which can only be updated twice a year.
