Madison County Jail Inmates

The Corrections Division of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the county jail. The Chief of Corrections and Jail Administrator is Chad Brooks. The Madison County Detention Facility houses individuals who have been arrested by local law enforcement agencies and those who have been sentenced to serve time in the facility.

The Madison County Detention Facility maintains an online database of all inmates currently housed in the jail. Each inmate’s profile contains his/her complete name, mug shot, date of birth, status, visitation status, booking number, MniNo, booking date, age on booking date, bond amount, cell assignment, visitation schedule, and holds information.

Inmates who have been detained in the facility for at least 30 days are allowed visitation. All visits are through the video visitation system and must be scheduled by calling (256) 519-4864 Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 10:30am and from 12:00pm – 3:00pm the week prior to the actual visit. Appointments are made on a first come, first serve basis. Each inmate is allowed three different visitors per visitation day. The schedule is as follows:

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for a part-time Deputy Sheriff. The pay is $15 per hour. The duties of a Deputy Sheriff includes performing field contact, enforcement of law and court orders, investigation of crimes, and serving of civil and criminal papers.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for providing law enforcement services to the citizens of the county. Sheriff Kevin Turner heads the MCSO and serves as the chief law enforcement officer of the county. Chief Deputy Eddie Houk oversees the Primary Services Bureau. Chief Deputy Stacy Bates supervises Special Operations and Accounting-Finance. Captain Marion Bulluck handles the Uniform Patrol Division while Captain Michael A. Salomonsky heads the Criminal Investigation Division.

Madison County Overview

Madison County can be found in the northern region of Alabama. It was named after the 4th President of the United States, James Madison. The county seat is Huntsville which is also the largest city in the area. Based on the 2010 census, there are 334,811 people living in the county, making this the third most populated county in the state. Its total area measures 813 square miles.
